My eyes hurt

Hopefully this is just a temporary thing. For the last week, at certain points during the day, my eyes lose their ability to finely distinguish text. It literally hurts. And headaches often follow. Some might say, "Scott, you need to step away from the computer." I might respond, "Which one? The one I work on, the one I store stuff on, the one I use for email and photography? Or some other computer entirely?" Because I am surrounded by computers. The only "touch" I get is with computers. The occasional glad hand notwithstanding.

But, I'm going on vacation in 3 weeks. I'm going to try not to bring my computer, but we'll see. Last time I drove 7 hours to get somewhere without bringing my computer I ended up with oodles of time, or questions I couldn't answer -- like about where stuff was. Mapquest in strange locations is a boon.

Meanwhile, someone told me I should get my eyes checked. I responded, "I know reading glasses are in my future." I worry that they're going to be in my near future, because this is bugging me quite a lot.

Once I get my eyes checked, though, wouldn't teeth and doctor be close behind on the checkup list?

If only I could do all that online.

You should totally get your eyes, your teeth, and your doctor checked. Or something. :D

Where is vacation? DO try to go computer-free for the duration. I need to step away from the laptop myself!
