I’ve spent a number of hours traipsing around eastern Nebraska in the last three weeks looking for the right building to live in, have a studio in, and thus fulfill my wee ambition-slash-dream. These are pretty much just scouting missions. I’m a scout, yup yup. I’m just looking for a list of towns with buildings that might serve, that are abandoned or possibly cheap and that meet my requirements.

It’s exciting, really. At the moment I’m not excited but that’s because I’m operating on 4 hours of sleep and this dearth of z’s is visible, tangible. I have photos to process but I can gua-ron-tee I won’t be processing them tonight. Tomorrow? We’ll see. Might be having lunch with a friend.

If not, I’ll be out in the boondocks, to the West this time, digging for gold in the form of old brick commercial buildings.
